About me

I am a pain researcher and a clinician in training. I am interested in the psychology of pain, and I am currently conducting research at the Centre for Research on Pain, Disability, and Social Integration. I study how catastrophic cognitions about pain, and perceptions of injustice in relation to injury or in relation to pain-related condition influence pain intensity, physical disability, and mental health outcomes in patients with various pain-related conditions.

In addition to my interest in clinical research, I also conduct experimental research that helps elucidate the pathways by which psychological variables influence pain experience and expression in pain free participants when they are exposed to a painful induction.

I am also an intern in clinical psychology and clinical neuropsychology at the Allan Memorial Institute of the McGill University Health Center. My previous training sites include the Allan Edwards Pain Management Unit at the Montreal General Hospital, Traumatic Brain Injury Unit at the Montreal General Hospital, and the Emotional Health CBT clinic. In addition to treating patients in individual and group therapies, I am also training to conduct neuropsychological assessments of inpatients and outpatients with various cognitive deficits.
